Most people know what sound is, but how does it work? We’ll get things shaking to explore sound energy and find out some unusual ways we can make noise. We’ll learn about frequency, waves and pitch through fun demonstrations. You’ll hear singing goblets, screaming metal rods and experience a way to see sound! All ages welcome. An adult caregiver must be present for children ages 9 and under.
This is a casual, loosely structured event. You can come for as long or as short a time as you wish. This is not a class, and there’s no formal program. Just bring your laptop or
pencil and paper. We will gather in the Reading Room (fireplace room) around 7:00 for introductions and a brief chat, followed by writing time and/or continued conversation. The Library Board of Trustees adopts policies to oversee and review administration of the Library. Nine trustees are appointed by the Mayor of the City of Ferguson. Meetings are the 4th Monday of each month at 7:00 p.m. During the COVID-19 pandemic, the Board will meet remotely via Zoom. Meetings will be streamed live at the Ferguson Library’s Youtube Page.
