Hoot, verb: to make a loud clamorous sound; to assail or drive out; to express or utter.

All of these phrases describe Bob Gibson, one of the greatest pitchers in St. Louis Cardinals history. His mastery of pitching in Major League Baseball made a loud and clamorous sound; he assailed and drove out batters with his inside pitches; and he expressed himself with excellence and uttered intimidation to all who opposed him. Performer Gregory Carr will trace his life from his humble beginnings in Omaha, NE, to his athletic career at Creighton University, his short stint with the Harlem Globetrotters, and his stellar career with the St. Louis Cardinals that culminated with the 1964 and 1967 World Series championship and his National League MVP year of 1968. All ages welcome.
